We Stock Both Flat Bottom & Plowed Bottom Handrails

Select the handrail style that corresponds with the Product Family you desire, or mix and match for a custom look. Scotia Stairs offers a wide variety of stair rails to complement any home style. Our rails are available in lengths up to 16 feet and in any species of wood your job requires.

We stock stair railings in the 3 most common hardwood species: oak, birch, and hard maple. We stock the most common handrail profiles: colonial, lambton, and modern square handrail.

We also have access to many special order profiles of handrail. We can get exotic wood types: beech, jatoba, walnut, white oak, hickory, knotty pine, etc. We can also get oversized hardwood stair railings in a size to meet your job site needs.
All our in stock stair handrails are offered in flat bottom (for taper top balusters) and plowed bottom (for square top balusters).

Handrail Specs: All rail over 8 feet long will have 1 top joint and 2-3 bottom joints ( rail in lengths of 12 feet and over may have 2 top joints and 3-4 bottom joints ) this is industry standard and the norm for large scale production. Our rail manufacture produces 100,000 + liner feet a rail each year ( proper color match jointing allows for and keeps rails of longer lengths straight ).

We stock the most popular plowed bottom handrails, and because we have our own custom millwork shop we can make plowed handrail on-demand.
